WHAT'S HAPPENING IN PUEBLO, COLORADO?
A Letter from the PresidentJanuary 24, 2012
Dear DKG Sisters: Our International President, Jensi Souders recently stated, “that our membership in DKG is priceless. What is your story?” My story is that Delta Kappa Gamma Sisters have made such a difference in both my professional and personal life. In the past two years as your chapter president, I have watched Beta members provide their time and talents over and over again so that others may be encouraged and continue to learn more about, participate in, and serve well in the education profession. We have enjoyed both non-traditional and traditional meetings, Pueblo Ghost Walks, a gorgeous garden tea party, wonderful plays at the Runyon, service at the university, fun trips to state and international meetings, both committee meetings and formal meetings in your homes, and laughter beyond measure. My story is that weekly, my DKG Sisters answer my phone calls both early and late and night. When I ask for help, they consistently say, “yes”. Most often, when things have to get done, they’ve already started working on the project! Think about your own story and the fact that membership in DKG is “priceless” Sincerely, Sue Pettit President, Beta Chapter |
